浜崎あゆみ、ソロ史上初のシングル総売上2000万枚突破！！

浜崎あゆみの通算40枚目のシングル「BLUE BIRD」が初登場で首位を獲得。発売一週目の売上は16.1万枚で、これで自身のシングルの総売上枚数は2000万枚を突破（累積2001.0万枚）。ソロ・アーティストとしては初の快挙となった。

　これまでシングルで総売上2000万枚突破を果たしたのは、B'z、サザンオールスターズ、Mr.Children、SMAPの4組のみ。いずれもグループ、それも男性ボーカル・アーティストによる達成【表①参照】で、ソロ歌手及び女性ではともに史上初【表②参照】。

　また、今回で浜崎のシングルの首位は、2002年4月発売の「Free&Easy」から15作連続、通算では27作目となり、自身の持つ女性アーティストのシングル首位獲得数記録を更新（総合ではB'zの38作に次ぐ歴代2位）。これでシングル首位獲得数女性アーティスト歴代2位の松田聖子（25作）との差は、「2作」となった。

But our attention goes to Zard of course, who is ranked no.2 in the list, with well over 17.5 million singles sold, leaving many other artists behind her. I get the feeling that Ayumi H is getting high ranking by artificial means. By the Use of Payola. My suspision is further questioning,Because Avex manages all aspects of their artist's career. I have heard a sample of Blue Bird. I must say i am not impressed by it. It sounds very similar in tone and style with her other song fairyland. I wonder how high  Ayumi H would really be ranked if things were not tampered with?

But please remeber , Zard's promotion action and the cost is less more than Ayumi H and 安室, 松田 , 宇多田 ...

Congrats to Ayumi then. I'll not go that far to cast doubts over Avex's actions and her achievements.

She's now in an exclusive club that a lot of artists can only dream of, and that alone gurantees her a place in the history of Japan's music industry.

I'm not sure if breaking through the 20 million mark adds more value to any artist's songs though. Knowing that ZARD has sold more than 17 million copies of singles doesn't make me love ZARD's songs more.

Being should be the one laughing all the way to the banks. I think the title of most profitable artist will almost definitely go to ZARD.

You are right, I believe that ZARD promotion budget is not as high as Ayumi. All respect for ZARD because she still get the 2nd place and Ayumi which gets the first place.

To make a fairer comparison, promotion budget and public appearance frequency should also be included. Sure, Zard must be in the first place.

But anyway, I'm already so proud of izumi san's performance

Her record label is the one to promote and handle her music sucess. She just sings and Avex does the rest for her.  What club are you reffering too? If it is the uptight snobby diva club, then i agree with you..

I dont think it adds any real value. It just shows how much singers like Ayumi H are willing to sell out to make money.

Thats right. Zard Does not waste time trying to over promote her stuff. If someone like her music,there are bound to be more listeners to naturally follow.


Ayumi H needs the most publicity because she cant sing that well. Therefore relies more on sex appeal to get more fan base.

　ＳＭＡＰの新曲「ありがとう」が２３日付オリコンシングルチャートで初登場１位を記録したことが１６日、発表された。これで７作連続、通算１８枚目の首位獲得に。

　シングルのトップ１０入りは、デビュー曲「Ｃａｎ’ｔ　Ｓｔｏｐ！！－Ｌｏｖｉｎｇ－」から４０作連続で、Ｂ’ｚの３９作を抜いて歴代単独１位となった。トップ１０入りの通算４０作目到達はサザンオールスターズ（４２作）、ＺＡＲＤ（４０作）に次いで史上３組目。デビューから１５年１カ月での到達で、ＺＡＲＤの１５年３カ月を上回る史上最速記録にもなった。

　同アルバムチャートはコブクロの初ベスト盤「ＡＬＬ　ＳＩＮＧＬＥＳ　ＢＥＳＴ」が３週連続で１位に輝き、彼らにとって初ミリオンアルバムとなった。

　これでシングルのTOP10入りは、1991年9月のデビューシングル「Can't Stop!!-Loving-」（最高位2位）から40作連続に。自身の持つ歴代1位記録であるデビューシングルからの連続TOP10入り記録を更新したほか、シングルの連続TOP10入り記録でも、B'zの39作連続を抜いて歴代単独1位となった【表①参照】。
