Maybe it sounds too good to be true, until at some stage people started to doubt whether Miss Sakai was using a shadow vocalist?  (Before she performed a full live in 1999)

I could easily understand why people would/could think that happening.. Mainly because Izumi rarely goes to public viewings. But thats probably just her mysterious nature poking out.

The same can be said of most, if not all modern recording artists........including our beloved ZARD.  Its just the extent of sound engineering they go to.

Singing live remains the best gauge of a vocalist's abilities....and in this department Miss Sakai is indeed outstanding yah? 

Your right Kaze. Do you ever compared zards audio track with the live singing? Its rather interesting. Izumi tends to stay true on the live,as she does in  the studio. I rarely hear her voice stray away fom the original tracks.

Indeed, sometimes I feel the live Izumi performed were even more powerful than in the CD.

Zard is so mysterious that many people don't even know about Izumi; that's why Mika could have won. That's the only reason I can think of.

Right, some people used to hear ZARD' music but don't even know the vocalist named Izumi Sakai.

Indeed, sometimes I feel the live Izumi performed were even more powerful than in the CD. 

Yes because she sings with emotion.  if you listen to another artist,they sound very bad live.
